MOTHERHOOD IS SACRED. A BOND OF LOVE THAT NO SINGLE PARAGRAPH CAN EVER DESCRIBE.
Inspired by the Pietá the first time I saw it on a visit to Italy, the desire to capture the beauty and pain, the sacrifice and boundless love of motherhood has been growing in me ever since. As I am adopted myself, I have always been fascinated by the effortless bond of mother and child; how holding an infant in your arms that you grew and nurtured — a reflection of the love between you and your partner in every little feature — grows something primal and beautiful deep in your soul.
MOTHERHOOD ON FILM SESSIONS ARE HELD IN-STUDIO IN EITHER FAIRFIELD COUNTY OR HARTFORD PROPER.
A client closet consisting of delicate robes, heirloom dresses, and vintage lace are available for maternity photoshoots. Bringing your own unique pieces is also encouraged. For infant and toddlers, linen bloomers are available, and a style guide is sent at the time of booking to help guide you in what photographs best..

What to expect
Frequently asked questions

During your 90 minute session, 6 rolls of film are reserved, which will yield about 90 images.

Following your session, images will be delivered within two weeks.

Your photographs are shot on medium format film, sent to a lab to be processed, and then will be delivered to you digitally, in an online gallery which remains active for one year.

Absolutely. partner and sibling interaction is encouraged during sessions. Bringing a quiet activity for children is also encouraged to keep them happy and entertained when not being photographed.

8x8 albums are available as an add on to your Motherhood on Film session and is included in your Motherhood: Journey session, and they are a fantastic way to remember such a fleeting time. The small albums fit easily in tiny hands, and make great additions to nurseries, showing your little ones just how cherished and waited for they are.
